Blogging Prompt #1: The Writing Autobiography

Hey guys!

So I'm David, and I have had several different experiences with writing in my academic life. Before sophomore year of high school, I would procrastinate until the last few days before deadlines to complete papers and had my parents check for mistakes the night before they were due. Ever since then, I have improved to the point where I don't fret about writing papers anymore. This doesn't mean I enjoy writing papers for school (who in their right mind would?). I'm at a point where I'm comfortable with my writing skills, but I can see room for improvement. I just hope to adopt the skill of fluidity in my writing in order to better convey my ideas.

  1. I was the same way before high school, i always waited last minute to finish papers, but im glad i changed. I fell everyone can improve their writing somehow, and it can never be perfect ... but thats just my opinion. I enjoyed reading your bio!

  2. I agree with Matt; I don't know if writing can ever be perfect and it is SO subjective it can be a good paper to one teacher but terrible to another. That's one thing I don't like. But yeah, writing papers for school is never a fun thing...

  3. Hi, David! I agree with Matt and Nell, above -- writing is never perfect, we can always improve! And I'm glad you're OK with editing. A lot of people are resistant to revision, but often that's the best way to improve upon your ideas.

And I challenge you all -- let's see if we CAN make writing something for school (in our class) a fun thing!
